Manatee Springs State Park

Image
We left Seacrest beach Saturday with the others and headed towards Manatee Springs State Park. We spent one night along the way and a funky little RV park in Panacea, FL. We arrived at Manatee Springs on Sunday after noon and set up in the great little campground with plenty of room between campsites. Monday we went for a hike through the surrounding forest and Tuesday we did a 9 1/2 mile canoe trip down the Suwannee River. Click here to see many more photos.

Seacrest Beach with David & Vicki and friends

We arrived on Wednesday at the house rented by David and Vicki Hauslohner for the week. They were gracious hosts to us all (seven total). The cats stayed in the RV most of the time but we did bring them to the back porch of the house as a trial run one morning. They were very skittish and seemed more comfortable if they stayed in the RV with us checking on them throughout the day. We went to the beach ( see photos ), although the water was too cold for us wimps, walking and, of course, eating. What great restaurants in the area!

We're Off!

We left Independence early afternoon on March 20th heading for Kodak, TN to an RV park called Dumplin Valley for one night. It's us and the cats and the GPS in our Travato motorhome (a small class B).
